De gemeente New York heeft onlangs een groot deel van haar fotocollectie online gezet. De galerij – gevuld met meer dan 870.000 foto’s die geschoten zijn in voornamelijk de 20e eeuw – bevat onder meer luchtfoto’s, beelden van het dagelijkse leven, de bouw, misdaad en het zakenleven. New York City Municipal Archives gaf ons de vrijheid een dwarsdoorsnede te laten zien van deze rijke, online collectie.
